I dance through the drum of my belly
Through the melodies in my mind
The rhythms of my heart
And depths of my soul

Danço através do tambor de minha barriga
Através das melodias em minha mente

E as profundezas da minha alma

Bailo a través del tambor de mi barriga
A través de las melodías en mi mente
Los ritmos de mi corazón
Y las profundidades de mi alma

After touching up my roots
With Bigen chocolate hair dye
My love with his gloves
Sifts thru my slippery strands
For lone silver filaments
And taps with his index finger
I scoop and spread my dye
Again and again...

In the original city of Izcuinapan
To see the quaint Parroquia
De San Miguel Arcángel
Y la joya del Jardín Principal
And we wrapped up our day
Con pulpo al Pueblo Viejo
And two pecking palomas

Sometimes we pause
In the hallways
Of our hearts
We kiss
We float
With hearts
In the sky

Where are you

Are you really brown
Or are you hickory
Walnut or wood

Oh Black
Where are you

Are you really black
Or are you obsidian
Onyx or soot

Oh White
Where are you
Shifting n changing
Are you really white
Or are you ivory
Eggshell or cream

Oh Colors
Shades n Tints
I try to paint
